The Online Digital Courtroom is a safe and secure virtual platform supported by technology that is meant to make the process of arbitration, mediation, and other judicial or quasi-judicial matters done all digitally. It does the same thing as an ordinary courtroom and by giving online access, it is guaranteeing transparency, efficiency, and accessibility for everyone involved—claimants, respondents, lawyers, and arbitrators.
The system has all the features of a modern courthouse that is equipped with a video conferencing facility, digital case management, e-filing, document sharing, real-time transcription, and electronic signature all of which make it possible for a dispute to be resolved from beginning to end without any party having to be physically present.
A unique virtual courtroom link is created for each case and, the parties can via the link make submissions, look at documents, and attend hearings in secure and recorded sessions. Automated scheduling, notifications, and integrated communication tools (Email, WhatsApp, and SMS) ensure timely updates and compliance with procedure.
The Online Digital Courtroom strictly follows the guidelines of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and abides by the standards set by the institutions for confidentiality, recordkeeping, and procedural fairness.
